We have amazing news!!  We finally got the call today with a referral from our agency.  It was 10:20 a.m. when I saw my phone light up and saw Jenna Parker pop up on the screen.  This is our amazing social worker with Lifeline and I knew that her name on my phone meant we had a referral.  My heart stopped in my chest, I started shaking and crying all at the same time.  I answered the phone and she preceded to tell me that they had a referral of a 19 month old little girl with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.  I told her to send the referral over and called John immediately.  He was about to go into a meeting that he promised to make quick and come home as soon as possible.  He told me I could go ahead and look at the file and we could look at it together once he got home.  I opened the paperwork and pictures and fell in love very quickly.  When John got home and looked at her sweet face he immediately fell in love.  We also made phone calls to some doctors to have them review the file and give us any medical information that we needed.  By friday evening we were all 4 completely 100% in love and committed to this precious little girl.  Grace you are so deeply loved and spoken for!!  Now we move forward with more paperwork so we can get her home as soon as possible so she can be with her forever family and get the medical care she needs.  We were told by our agency that we should travel in no more than 4 months.  Of course we are praying for less!!

Please continue to pray for our sweet baby Grace.  Pray that she remains healthy.  That all of her needs are being met physically, mentally, socially and that most importantly she feels loved at all times.  Please pray for her nannies that they would know Jesus and that God would whisper to her birth mom and dad that their baby girl has a family fighting for her.  That we will do everything we can to make them proud.

Praising God that he chose us to go on this journey.  He is growing us and teaching us so much during this journey.  Things that can only be taught when he brings you to your knees, teaches you to let go and trust him in ALL things.  His perfect plan, perfect timing and his perfect will be done.

I am going to end with a quote I saw on an adoption website:
The most incredible thing about miracles is that they happen.  G.K. Chesterton

We believe we are witnessing a miracle through this adoption.  How God can bring a family from 1/2 way around the world to a precious baby girl in China is nothing but a miracle.  It is amazing where God can take you if you open your eyes to see him and ears to hear him!!!
